On 20 December, the legislative package (two regulations and a directive) on the European Single Access Point (ESAP) was published in the Official Journal of the EU.

Such access is necessary to meet the growing demand for investible and diverse financial products that fall within environmental, social, and governance frameworks and to channel capital to such products.
As regards as next steps, the regulations and the directive will enter into force on the 20th day after publication in the EU Official Journal. Regarding the directive, member states shall adopt and publish by January 10, 2026 the provisions necessary to comply with this directive and by July 10, 2025 regarding Article 3.
