Profile

Sílvia Amaral has a university degree in languages and her early work experiences were as a teacher of English in Portugal and later in Spain. When she moved to Spain, while teaching part-time she also devoted some time to a 2-year course in fashion design, a hobby from her youth. 

In September 2007 she entered the business information industry, where she has accumulated over 12 years’ experience. During these years she worked for axesor, one of the main Spanish business information providers. At axesor she occupied the position of International Business Manager, which brought her in contact with many of the companies leading this industry today.

Among other tasks, she was responsible for clients’ accounts, providers and was also involved in several key projects for the company. Since 2009 Sílvia Amaral became responsible for representing axesor in international industry associations such as BIGnet and FEBIS.

In January 2020 she started her collaboration with FEBIS as General Manager until she got appointed as Secretary General by the Board of FEBIS in September 2021.
